How to Use The Technorati Claim Token
Verifying your blog using Technorati claim token is very easy. Please follow the following steps:
- Make a new post
- Paste your claim token on the post content
- Publish post
- Go to your Technorati account and click on “Check Claim”
This post also was the post I made to verify my blog on Technorati. After a few minutes you should receive an email saying something like this:
Thank you for submitting your blog claim on Technorati. We have successfully crawled your blog and found the claim token, and your claim is now awaiting review.
You can also publish a temporary post and the body of the post containing your claim token (KXVTYMSQH6MU for example). This post will be public facing but you’ll be able to remove it in a few minutes.

Please add your claim token anywhere (top, or bottom, or etc) on your post content.

Technorati doesn’t really offer very clear instructions on how to stake a claim, but thanks to your posting I was able to figure it out. It’s a shame a company as big as they are can’t make their instructions a bit clearer. Thanks for your help!

in new post title then same My Technorati Claim Token :
KXVTYMSQH6MU(your token) in your post content then update
feedburner then click update feedburner in technorati.com ……..

I have deleted the claim token code. The code is something like u3LT2sWGgGj6uC1g…etc. When Technorati has finished verifying your blog, you can delete the claim token.

Relatively new to blogging here and only just joined Technorati.
I use BlogSpot and I am having trouble claiming my blog in Technorati. I put the token in a post no problems, but how and where in the blogger controls do I insert it into the feed?

Does anyone know if Technorati has a procedure for re-submitting a claim? I put in a claim but they replied that my blog “doesn’t appear to be a blog” lol. Any thoughts? Maybe it’s because my blog is too new?

Hi Tantan!
My stupidity is tantamount. I tried claiming my technorati token last night. I made an empty post with a technorati code in the title, so check. But everytime I check to claim my blog, the message says it did not see the token in my feed. I have a wordpress platform.
Steps made:
1. Made sure that ‘syndication feeds show 5 most recent’
2. Allow search engine to index my site.
Should I edit my rss feed to include the tokens too? I have read many discussions in the topic but they did not mention anything about having to edit the rss.
I don’t know what to do anymore. Help.

You don’t need to edit the rss feed. some people failed because it’s delayed. just wait for several days.
