How to Make Money with Amazon – My First Amazon Sale

After I made the first Clickbank and Commission Junction sales, a few days ago I also just made my first amazon affiliate sale. I’m really excited, because – from beginning I started affiliate marketing and online business – I did not do any selling, I usually do CPC (Cost Per Click) and CPA (Cost Per Action) marketing – where visitors/consumers do not need to buy anything for us to make money.

But I think why I didn’t try to sell products, both physical and digital products. I think it more profitable and able to generate a huge of income. This is truly huge income potential and also a long term business, we saw people buying and selling anywhere and anytime. Isn’t it?! As long as there is life, people will buy and keep buying.

My First amazon Affiliate Sale

The sale is generated by review blog posts, I post review about products related to my blog niche. Although the blog still use the default WP theme and just a bit pages are indexed on Search Engines, but it made me one sale. So then I decide to manage the blog seriously, I create custom WordPress theme for that blog.

What I’ve done is as what Chris Guthrie taught on Niche Profit Course – amazon Affiliate Course.

• Write review articles about amazon products and/or use ReviewAzon WordPress plugin. This plugin allows you to quickly import information from amazon.com such as: the title of the product, image, overall star rating, pricing information, and customer reviews. However Google can be picky about duplicate content, so write unique articles for the product description. You can customize how you want the information to be displayed within the plugin settings as well.
• Improve the blog design. I do it myself creating custom WordPress theme to fit my needs to build reviews blog. Also: link to the products within content, make product images clickable, and use strong Call To Action image button (examples: Buy Now, Buy from amazon, Order Now).
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO). On page optimization and also link building.
• Put In Ausoresponder Newsletter Form. The simplest way to make money from the Autoresponder newsletter list is to create a follow up sequence of email promoting products related to my niche. I also send newsletter about tips, trick and how to guide to the newsletter list. I use Rapidresponsebot (Manage unlimited subscribers and unlimited autoresponders) to manage my list. It’s the cheapest best Autoresponder service I’ve ever found, only $4.08 per month – regularly $9.95.

There’re many tasks to do to build reviews blog. The four points above are just what I’ve done until now.

I’ve mentioned two sources/tools to make money with amazon Affiliate:

1. Niche Profit Course by Chris Guthrie – How to create income generating blogs from scratch that focus on using the amazon Associates Affiliate program to make money. This is a video course and has many case studies as well. For both beginners and advanced.
2. ReviewAzon – It’s a WordPress plugin to quickly and easily import information from amazon.com. So you can create review posts quickly and easily. This plugin works with amazon to display product information that helps save a considerable amount of time.

There’re also several quality ebook and video courses teach you how to make money with amazon Associates. The sources below focus on selling physical products online – using the amazon Associates Affiliate program – to make money online.

• Amazonian Profit Plan – The complete blueprint for how they average $10K a month promoting amazon products, by Paula & Wanda. Even on November 2010 they were $19,023.09. There’s no video, this course only contains text (PDF). This course emphasizes on website/blog quality, you’ll realize how importance the quality rather than quantity.
• Deadbeat Super Affiliate by Dan Brock – A highly recommended course to anyone who wants to become a successful Amazon affiliate. This is a video course and text as well, for both beginner and advanced. Almost the same as Niche Profit Course but has little case studies.

If you want to make money online with amazon Associate program, I recommend you to use those sources. I think you can use only one or two of them. Since they are just a bit different, please choose which is you’re familiar with its learning method. Overall, all the courses mentioned above are really good and able to become your main source to learn how to make money with amazon Affiliate program.
